Joining Farabi Program or Erasmus Program

In terms of joining different student exchange programs when studying in a college students have multiple choices. In Turkey, programs such as Erasmus and Farabi are very famous among students these days. Farabi and Erasmus exchange programs differs in terms of opportunities of the programs,requirements of programs and cost of the programs.

Firstly, Farabi Exchange Program gives the opportunity to university students and teaching staff members participate in education and training at a higher education institution other than their own university during a period of one or two semesters.On the other hand, Erasmus Exchange Program's is most likely offers the opportunity for student placements in enterprises, university staff teaching and training, and it funds co-operation projects between higher education institutions across Europe.

Secondly, In order to involve Farabi Exchange program the students must be studying at associate degree, bachelor degree, master degree or phd degree of higher education programmes, higher education institutions in Turkey - Grade point average (GPA) of associate degree and undergraduate students must be at least 2,5 on a four point scale. Differently, in order to involve Erasmus Exchange program; you should be a degree student  and have completed at least one semester of your studies and your grade point should be average is at least 3.0 and your foreign language level should be sufficient for participating in the studies (at least B2 European Language Level in the language you're going to study in).
Lastly; Farabi Exchange program won't cost anyone more than his or her own university fees paid per semester. On the contrary, Erasmus Exchange program will cost more than the other exchange programs due to the student will live and study in the abroad.
To sum up, these opportunities may vary in some ways but students who study in any college must decide and take their chances with joining these programs to gain experience for life.
